Unit 2

External Assessment: 2 Hour Examination (40%)

Reading and writing tasks: narrative, description and exposition

Section A (20%) Reading tasks

Section B (20%) One writing task

Half of the marks for this section will be awarded for communication and organisation and the other half for writing accurately (language, grammar, punctuation and spelling)

Unit 3

External assessment: 2 Hour Examination (40%)

Reading and writing tasks: argument, persuasion, instructional

Section A (20%) Reading tasks

Section B (20%) 2 compulsory writing tasks: argue and persuade

Half of the marks for this section will be awarded for communication and organisation and the other half for writing accurately (language, grammar, punctuation and spelling)
