With a little over a month remaining until our trip to France I am hereby writing with the final details. We will be leaving the school at 23:45 (night) on Thursday 13th of July and returning Monday 17th of July (approx. 22:00). Pupils will not be required to wear uniform but should bring their trip hoodies.
Please ensure that your child has their passport and EHI card with them to hand in to me as they board the coach. With regard to spending money, all meals and activities are included in the price. However, they will need to purchase their lunch on the outward journey and dinner on the return journey. The only money that they will need otherwise is spending money should they wish to purchase gifts or souvenirs during their free time. We therefore suggest no more than 50-70 Euros and some sterling for spending at service stations. Pupils are allowed to bring a mobile phone but any belongings brought are their own responsibility.
I have attached a copy of our itinerary for the trip for your information. There will be a range of activities at Château de Warsy. Pupils will therefore need to pack suitable clothing and equipment. Please see the section below the itinerary for further details.
On the return journey we estimate we should be back at the school at approx. 22:00. However we will be in touch during our return trip to keep you up to date with our progress. We will also be updating the department’s Twitter account during the trip with photos of our activities so be sure to follow us!
Pupils must attend two after school sessions prior to the trip. This will give us an opportunity to go over rules and expectations and to start working on the French booklets provided by Château de Warsy. The sessions will be held on Thursday 22nd June and 29th June from 3:15pm – 4:30pm.
I trust this letter will answer any questions you may have regarding our trip. However, should you have any further questions or queries please do not hesitate in contacting myself or my colleague Mr Acciaioli, who will be accompanying us, at the school as soon as possible.
